Nurse Call System
A state-of-the-art call bell system makes contacting our staff at any time a breeze. Residents have access to pendants that communicate directly with care staff.
Nurses are alerted to where the resident is located thanks to a wristband or necklace worn by the resident.
There's nothing like a good home cooked meal, and that is exactly what our residents get. Lake House has a dietitian-developed menu that provides two main entrees and an alternative option each day. These meals are both freshly cooked and nutritionally focused. Residents may also enjoy snacks throughout the day and water brought to residents' rooms by staff.
Socialization is a crucial part of ensuring our residents uphold the quality of life they're used to having. That's why Lake House encourages residents to mingle with each other throughout the facility. Our meals are served in the main dining room, and we offer a variety of activities that encourage interaction among residents in other parts of the facility as well. We also celebrate holidays and birthdays—like the close-knit family that we are.
We give residents the flexibility to select their own home health agency. This service is encouraged for those who require a registered nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist or social worker. In addition, we're happy to assist with orders for home health and can act as an intermediary for communication with home health staff for our residents' convenience.
Another uniquely flexible aspect of Lake House living is that residents aren't required to change physicians when they join our community. If the resident elects to change physicians, they may choose from one of the doctors that treat at Lake House on an as-needed basis. Specialty doctors focusing on wound care, podiatry, dermatology, and psychiatry are also frequently available for house calls.
Obtaining your medications has never been easier than it is for residents. Through a partnership with a pharmacy, Lake House orders residents' medications on a daily basis. However, residents may also elect to use the pharmacy of their choosing.
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
No matter a resident's independence level, our staff is always there to assist as needed. Need help bathing, toileting and dressing? We can do that. Looking for assistance with medications, transferring and ambulation? We can do that too.
Our staff has the knowledge and skill needed to help residents with medication compliance, including self-administration in accordance with doctor's orders.
